Friends of The Lorraine Cherry Nature Preserve is a 501(c)3 Texas Corporation that was first formed to save our urban forest. Now, the Friends group aims to foster the responsible use and protection of this natural habitat forever and to ensure that everyone, regardless of age, ability, or means, can access and be immersed in the forest to enrich their quality of life, stoke curiosity, and promote learning, appreciation, and enjoyment.
Besides sponsoring Bird Walks, Morning Mindfulness, Yoga by Facet Seven Fitness, City Nature Challenges, Conservation Workdays, and other special events, we provide the following services for the nature preserve: the Wireless Wilderness, Trail Coverings, and Garden and Kiosk Maintenance.
